Q: When should I book a fishing trip?A: Bookings for the 2024 season will be accepted beginning June 1st. We recommend booking as soon as possible.because our charter season is short and expected to book up fast.
Q: What are the season dates for 2024?
A: For the 2024 groundfish seasons, we will be offering charters from July 16th through September 2nd. Striped bass charter are offered from September 1st until October 30th, weather dependent.
Q: How many people can go on a fishing charter?
A: Six is the maximum for our fishing trips.
Q: Do I need to bring my own fishing equipment?
A: No, however you can if you'd like. Deep sea fishing equipment is heavy duty compared to most other fisheries.
Q: Do I need to purchase a fishing licence?A: All of our fishing takes place in tidal waters. A fishing licence isn't required when recreationally fishing in tidal waters.
Q: Am I guaranteed to catch fish?
A: It's called fishing, not catching! While we do everything in our control to have a successful fishing trip, we can't make the fish bite. We spend a lot of time on the water and know where we have the best chance to put fish in the boat.
Q: How many fish am I allowed to keep?
A: For the 2024 season, the bag limit for groundfish is set at an aggregate of five fish per person.
Q: Should I tip the captain?A: They really appreciate it. While not mandatory, it is customary in the fishing charter industry.
Q: What time does the boat depart?
A: We will do our best to meet your needs regarding departure times. There may be limitations depending on tide times, weather forecasts, and other bookings. Please arrive fifteen minutes prior to your departure time.
Q: Is Fish CB family friendly?A: Yes! Kids are more then welcome on our fishing trips.
Q: Is there a bathroom on the boat?
A: There is no bathroom or head on the boat.
Q: What is your payment policy?
A: A $150 deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due prior to departure on the day of your trip. Deposits are accepted via e-transfer, while the remaining balance can be paid via e-transfer or cash. We don't accept credit, debit or cheque.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?A: Trips cancelled more than 7 days before departure will receive a full refund of their deposit. Trips cancelled within 7 days of departure, and no-shows will not be refunded the deposit.
Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of my fishing trip?
A: The decision to depart is up to the captain. In the event of a cancelled trip it can be rescheduled where possible, or a full refund will be issued.
